Job Purpose:
The Senior VAT Specialist will provide VAT assistance to an assigned portfolio of clients. The Senior VAT Specialist will have a solid understanding of VAT legislation and will be able to perform on behalf of clients different tax fulfillments with efficiency, providing professional and high quality services. He/she will be responsible for ensuring the VAT compliance of complex transactions (cross-border transactions etc.). He/she will be responsible for answering queries from clients and working on daily basis in close contact also with the colleagues operating abroad to ensure successful delivery of VAT services to clients.

Seniority Level:
- Senior level

Key Responsibility:
- Promote consistency of procedures, guidelines and policies within the VAT Department and in coordination with the rest of departments within the office;
- Supports and manages clients and internal requests in a timely manner;
- Supports more Junior colleagues in technical questions;
- Assistance on VAT reimbursement applications;
- Provides ad hoc assistance to Clients in relation with the correct application of VAT rules;
- Preparation and submission of VAT and WHT accomplishments (VAT Liquidation, Quarterly and yearly VAT Returns, WHT certifications, 770 form etc.) 
- Electronic invoicing requirements
- Perform chargeable client work
- Keeps up to date with changes in tax legislation

Job specific requirements
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Some exposure to VAT with a desire to build a career in indirect tax
- Ability to manage a number of different clients with accuracy and consistency
- Resourceful, independent and strong problem-solving abilities
- Creating team success as a member
- Excellent written and communication skills, with strong ability to plan ahead and organize themselves
- At least 3 years experiences in similar Organizations
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications 
- Knowledge of Profis System is considered a plus
- Qualified tax professional is a plus
