is lookin for a Quality engineer.
This position, which reports to the General Manager and Vice President of our Lighting EMEA and APAC business, will be located in Florence, Italy. This person will be responsible for working with the EMEA team along with the Global Vice President of Quality to establish, implement, maintain and continually improve the Lighting Business Unit`s quality management system. You will be responsible for influence and drive a zero-defect mentality with our suppliers and manufacturing partners. In addition, you will be an active contributor in successfully qualifying our parts/components and final products as part of our new product development process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
`` Devise, establish and maintain company`s quality procedures, standards and specifications
`` Maintain and continually improve our Quality Management System to uphold compliance to ISO 9001
`` Maintain and continually improve our Environmental Management System to uphold compliance to ISO 14001
`` Manage the customer claims process (RMAs) through 8D form application and ISO9001 workflow being in charge of first action with the customer according to CREE warranty terms (replace/repair/refund)
`` Oversee a small team of technician (even by a third party contract manufacturer) performing failure mode analysis in order to determine root cause of failure of LED lighting fixtures, performing directly failure analysis when a deeper investigation and higher engineering knowledge is required
`` Monitor and implement actions (CAPA - corrective and preventive actions) to keep minimum cost for product returns
`` Provide support to customer service and sales team and perform RMA analysis for returned product, identify root cause and drive implementation of corrective actions.
`` Costs control for product returns under warranty
`` Maintain updated on a weekly basis root cause analysis and statistics
`` Evaluate potential suppliers for Creès diverse lighting product portfolio and ensure they are meeting our expectations through process and product control verifications / audits
`` Support and improve Creès supplier evaluation and supplier scorecard processes to ensure effective continuous improvement in supply chain, including driving the attainment of accurate and effective supplier performance data and metrics
`` Facilitate regular yield and quality metric reviews internally as well as with critical suppliers, OEM and ODM partners
`` Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D to determine future needs and requirements in suppliers and supplied products
`` Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Product Marketing teams during our New Product Development process to define supplier requirements that should be addressed during supplied item qualifications
`` Qualify parts/components in compliance with our Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) coordinating the project`s team members involved (SQE - Supplier Quality Engineer - supply chain representative, design engineer) making sure schedule and quality requirements are meet.
`` Generate Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCAR) and drive root cause and corrective action with our suppliers to ensure effectiveness
`` Establish, administer, and effectively maintain the existing internal audit, corrective and preventive actions systems
`` Liaison between our US, APAC and European teams for Quality initiatives.
`` Perform on field investigation for failures in order to determine root causes when this could be due to environmental and/or installation issues

Requiriments:
`` Experience as a Quality Manager who can demonstrate effectively leading an organization to improvement performance using quality methods and approaches.
`` Preferred 5 years` experience
`` Expertise in achieving and maintaining compliance to ISO 9001 and ISO14001
`` Applied knowledge of APQP and PPAP tools.
`` Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills.
`` Strong problem-solving abilities.
`` Capable of working across and influencing at all organizational levels.
`` Fluent in Italian and English.
`` Must be able to travel both domestic and international without restriction.
