Our Client Applied Materials, a multinational company with Headquarters in Santa Clara - Silicon Valley California, is the world's leading supplier of innovative machinery, services and software used in Semiconductors' production, flat screen monitors and within the photovoltaic-solar. Our technologies contribute to making products such as smartphones, flat-screen TVs, solar panels and A.I. increasingly accessible to consumers and traders around the world. We are looking for an expert Field Service Engineer (Customer Engineer) to increase the Service Team of Caponago /Agrate (MB-Italy).

The Job Opportunity:
Field Service Engineer - CVD

EXPERTISE AREA:
-CVD - Chemical Vapor Deposition

Knowledge in the following is a plus:

-PVD - Physical Vapor Deposition

GENERAL PROFILE:

The ideal candidate has acquired expertise in a variety of work processes and activities in the semiconductor industry, in particular for the CVD technologies.
Works autonomously within established procedures and practices, may act as a lead, coordinating the work of others- but not as a supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
- Performs equipment installation and start-up through Tier III, including process qualifications with assistance.
- Understands all qualifications performed on tool and verifies operational quality (process qualification) of systems equipment, including ability to use customer's metrology equipment.
- Plans for and completes all levels of preventative and corrective maintenance within timelines. Troubleshoots key technical issues at the component level.
- Diagnose and recommends solutions for complex system downs. Uses process data to diagnose hardware problems. Resolves some sustaining process issues on well characterized tools.
- Diagnoses and resolves hardware and software issues.
- Performs complex retrofits.
- Ensures the correct revs of procedures and schematics.
- Identifies and corrects procedural issues.
- Applies global best practices to solve problems for their customer.
- Creates methodologies and procedures as necessary.
- Anticipates and responds to fab issues including communicating with Customer Engineers in other locations.
- Drives corrective processes through key internal stakeholders or escalates as appropriate.
- Participates in customer meetings and escalations.
- Within assigned scope, assist management in operation of site service business. Assists Applied Materials field management in establishing and achieving objectives for assigned account. Keeps field management informed on customer perception of system performance. Takes initiative to avoid and resolve customer problems. May occasionally initiate projects to drive down costs or increase uptime.
- Provides technical guidance to less experienced CEs on complex system problems including sustaining process issues. Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of system.
- Follows all checklists and procedures, including safety.

Interpersonal Skills:
-Evaluates and communicates technical content in a clear manner, relational adaptability and ability to work in team focused on client satisfaction.
- Language: Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Education: Technical Degree or Technical Diploma

Experience: Minimum 5 - 10 Years
