The Fundraising assistant needs proficient communication skills, both verbal and written, in Italian, English and Spanish. An interest in and commitment to ateneo mission is essential. S/He needs to love to build relationships, share enthusiasm for ateneo cause and impact s/he needs also to be curious, methodic, with a multicultural background and good at scouting donation possibilities, catching new opportunities and trends. Fundraising assistant ought to contribute to the charitable outreach, and the organizational and IT skills are important. S/he must be detail oriented, dealing with large volumes of data, including lists of people s names and phone numbers.
Job description
Accomplishing with internal procedures related to donors and Alumni care with CRM programs, the candidate is expected to have good writing skills for scratching a storytelling able to attract donors and Alumni. S/he also will be responsible for researching fundraising opportunities among charitable organizations, as well as for preparing draft presentations. S/he will be eager for increasing the own abilities in planning, writing, editing, and reporting and proactive and operative over fundraising campaign activities.
Aims
Contribute to the operation of the short, medium and long-term fundraising strategy, consistent with the organization's strategy, to maximize performance over the years
Tasks and responsibilities
Support to fundraising campaigns and their declination for specific targets (Major Donors, Alumni, Entities)
Supporting the caring of current benefactors (using CRM programs)
Supporting activities for the startup of Alumni network (using Banner program)
Supporting the production reports, documents and materials for the office
Respecting deadlines for fundraising activities so to ensure the implementation of the annual fundraising plan.
Activities
Contributing to the implementation of storytelling planning - segmented by targets and goals - aimed at promoting the organization with donors as well as their loyalty
Contributing to the realization of materials and special events
Proactively monitoring the progress of ongoing campaigns and activities, highlighting any critical issues and, where possible, proposing solutions
Using CRM and Banner programs effectively
Managing agreements / contracts with suppliers of your own Office in connection with the Office of Administration.
Key skills:
Communication skills. S/he needs impeccable communication skills in order to communicate the message so that people will make donations, and Alumni will increase their engagement with ateneo
IT skills. S/he master Office package (Word, Excel, Powerpoint). A basic knowledge of Access and Photoshop is desirable.
Organizational skills. The Fundraising & Alumni Account participates actively in campaigns and events that require planning and organizational skills to succeed S/he will be also dealing with graphic designers and other providers, therefore it is required a strong attention in monitoring the correspondence between the required and the received output. Proof of autonomy in job management and good analytical skills are required.
Previous experience: a minimum of experience in fundraising is desirable, but prior experience in areas such as sales or marketing can act as a substitute, better if the candidate comes from a similar organization.
